A few of you know me and my vast Jeep parts collection LOL.  For those that dont, My name is John and im a mechanic at a shop out on LI in Patchogue.  Im working to make it a Jeep haven and a place that specializes in Jeeps.   Ive worked on a few of your Jeeps already.  Since i work 6 days a week i have little time for side jobs and need that 1 day off from wrenching Haha.  All i can offer is help with any questions you guys may have.  No trade in return LOL.  A few of you call me at the shop regularly with questions and there always welcomed and never a bother to me.  I do have a ton of tools and im very picky about lending them out but will for some of you.  I also have a huge collection of Jeeps and Jeep parts.  I sell them on the side.  Parted out or complete.    BUT if any of you are in a jam and money is an issue i would extend the credit in good faith or if you had something in trade id always be willing to hear what ya got.  But if its a small item and i have it?  Come get it...Pay it forward.

Contact info if anyone needs to contact me.

Suppose my skill set is pretty weird...

1) I am a former professional paintball player, so if you have a Questions about guns or equipment I can help, also I'm a licensed gun tech so I can fix any / all of them for you or help you over the phone.

2) I'm a digital media specialist. Mobile Marketing, Social Network Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, E-mail marketing, etc. I help companies with their digital strategy, and build or outsource what I cant.

3) I teach adults new media. Whether a mom who is getting back into the workforce or a soldier back from 3 tours, I teach them and show them what they need to know to put the right things on the their resume, and be able to deliver once hired. PC use, graphics, websites, mobile, social, e-mail etc.

Since i have some work needed coming down the pipeline (Lift, tires, etc.) if you can help with that and need to learn this stuff or want me to get you a Facebook page, twitter account for your business, and get it working for you... I'm happy to do so.

I work for a bank now (Chase), so i can get your free checking, lol.

I am a certified EMT so if you need any emergency medical help, I got you.

I have been a US Marine for the past 7 years and am a licensed NYS/NYC private armed secruity guard, so if you need some secruity detail, let me know.

Pretty handy with most everything else

This is a great thread!  I love to barter as Goonies can attest to (especially when you own a Jeep).  Parts wise I mainly have XJ and YJ items.  I work for Motorola in I.T. (Telephony, VoIP) but have a background barcoding, lasers, PC's, servers, and corp AV .  I have many hobbies/interests ranging from the casual to hardcore:
Hockey - My disclaimer is I'm a hockey goalie and an old Islander fan so I'm not right!
Wheeling - Always on the Outer Beaches and wheel upstate.  For mechanical, I point everyone to Goonies but I'm always willing to lend a hand.  I can wire above average and I have a Dodge tow rig if someone's screwed.
Fishing - I boat and surf fish, have many tackle and marina connections.
Hunting - Big Game / Small Game.  I'm a cesspool of info when it comes to guns, scopes, ammo, and hunting.  Just traded some venison salami for fresh Mako steaks yesterday (life is good).
Camping - My Summer sanity check with the family.  I have campers and mad MacGyver skills needed to keep them working order.
Music - Used to play Bass in a previous lifetime but still like to jam and tinker on the tube amps.
Cycling - Still get out for an occasional Century.  Have a good assortment of maintenance tools for Shimano.
