Local Rubicon Inspection Help
« Reply #-1 on: December 29, 2014, 04:24:18 PM »

Hello NY Jeep community from Texas.   You have a great board/community.

I found a slightly modified JK Rubicon located in the Clifton/Paterson NJ area that I would like to purchase and ship down to Texas.  I need some help from an experienced local NJ mechanic to inspect it in the next week.  I will of course pay for the inspection, I just want someone knowledgeable and trustworthy.  Does anyone have suggestions for local mechanics/dealers in the Clifton/Paterson/Hackensack area to do a quality inspection on a Rubicon?  I called  Route 46 Jeep but they cant perform an inspection until mid January (too long).  Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I'm not familiar with any mechanics in Jersey unfortunately. Globex Performance is in Central New Jersey and they know Jeeps but I'm not sure if they do house calls. Look up North Jersey Jeep Club on Facebook they will probably have more knowledge of local mechanics. Also I know there are services online that send a mechanic to the location and they do a 30 point inspection. Not sure of costs but they advertise on the major sites like auto trader
