Exhaust issues.
« Reply #-1 on: July 13, 2012, 09:17:44 PM »

So I was driving home from work, when suddenly the Jeep was getting Louder and Louder. I had this issue in my 88 Ramcharger, and it was my exhaust bracket right by the manifold.

I checked it, it's rusted to hell, but still on tight. Followed the pipe all the way back, no cracks, breaks, or holes straight through from Manifold to Muffler.

I have a feeling it IS the bracket, because when my Ramcharger went, it was a TINY break on a side I couldn't see, and it caused a tiny gap, but was very quite. But not sure because I don't see any holes, gaps or anything, and this thing is STUPID LOUD right now.

Any suggestions?

Picture of the possible issue. (I know, rusted away lol)

Sounds good, should be easy than.

It's gonna be a BITCH getting this thing off though. Got a 55+ Mile Drive tomorrow like that until I can get the part lmao. Should be good.

It was a pain for me i changed my whole exhaust system and the holes on the new down pipe did not line up with the bolts from the exhaust manifolded. i made it fit, but u should be fine with the stock pipes.

Gasket went, and there was a hole in the pipe right where it came from manifold. New Gasket, new exhaust system. Sounds good.

Only issue, I need someone who can weld. Back of the muffler broke, so the brackets aren't holding it on. It's bouncing around like crazy.
