So my doors won't open and I have to crawl from the back
« Reply #-1 on: October 23, 2012, 12:31:40 PM »

Ok so this is the part where y'all all laughing at the idea cause it is funny and all. I have to constantly break into my own rig. Sometimes wearing elegant suits and heels and in front of an office that I just audited and it is NOT a good look.
Neither driver nor passenger doors open. However, when I park it in the sun sometimes it does open.... Anyone having this problem? The key turns and the lock seems unlocked but the doors won't open 98% of the time.

Im sure I can fix that myself so I'm doing some research but if anyone of you already knows what the deal is I'll appreciate. I'm getting a lot of looks and people literally stopping to stare.... ;D

the next time the door opens hold the handel open and have some PB blaster on hand and and spray the shit out of it and start slaming the door close and open a bunch of times and open and spray it a lot agen and repeat slamming.do this all wile never letting go of the hander.spray once more and now let handel go and see if it worked.if so do it on the other door.

You can also use white lithium grease. Works well to lube hinges and door components up

My jeep has this issue in the rain. If it rains, the key turns, the door inside turns to unlocked, but it just won't open.... I usually turn the key to unlock it and HOLD it that way, and than pull the door handle. For some reason when I put the lock back into center position, it will lock again, even though I didn't turn it to lock. So try that? Turn to unlock and hold it that way and pull on the handle.
