Replacement body parts! YJ
« Reply #-1 on: February 01, 2013, 01:31:12 AM »

Hello!

So I'm planning on fixing up my floor of my YJ. The floor has crazy amount of rust on the front of my side and passengers side, there's a good size hole lol so I get to smell some gas when I go fast and get some nice roar from the engine that is pretty loud, so conversations inside, don't work out too good (which I like) But I would like to fix that... before I spend the money on something else.....so I need help in picking what to do , or if you had this problem how did you fix it? SO I need all you CJ, YJ and probably a TJ owners help.

I saw these replaceable parts online on quadratec
http://www.quadratec.com/jeep-replacement-parts/jeep-body/yj-panel.php
Parts I need are 1,2,3,4 and I'm going to pick $34 parts (cos I'm poor:)

                                               OR

I talked to a auto body guy in the junk yard in flushing, he also owns a YJ and saw him fixing up a YJ floor
he said he'll fix up the floor but he'll use a different metrical, it was I think fiber plastic or i'm not too sure but it wasn't metal.
for $200, and he also said he'll fix up the rust on the outside a little bit.

SO WHAT OPTION SHOULD I GO WITH?!?!?! WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK??!?! WHAT WOULD YOU DO?!? or if one of you is a mechanic or know a good and honest guy that is good with wranglers I'll be more than happy to come to you.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Well $200 doesn't sound like a lot but most of us like to try and do things ourselves. Anyone with suggestions

its rusted out in the place where you put your legs, right in front of the seat and under it is the front axle I think, I'm not too sure I have to look at it again, but theres a good size hole where you put your legs
